Open letter of recommendation

As a former employee of the Northern Trust company, a 35 year veteran that held various leadership positions, I am pleased to provide this open letter of recommendation for Angel Arroyo.

Ángel Arroyo worked for me for in various capacities when I transferred to operations in 2004 to headed the Globe Client Accounting Practice for the Northern Trust Company.

In 2004 Angel was section manager of the manager sign-off team. In 2006 he successfully lead the migration of the process to India. In 2007 Angel was promoted to Division Manager of one of the accounting teams overseeing one of the banks largest relationship. In 2008 Angel moved to India to establish and oversee the Client Accounting Practice in the region. The team grew from a hand full of employees to hundreds by the time he returned to the states in 2012. Upon his return Angel was put in charge of the UVRS group, a group responsible for striking daily NAV’s that was not only highly technical it came with high financial exposure in the event of a failure. In 2015 Angel and his family moved to Arizona to help us establish a new office and was named Head of Operation in Tempe AZ.

Angel’s career shows the versatility and ability he has to excel in any situations - defined or not - with or without constant direct supervision. He can be thrown in any situation and he will figure it out.

Traits that stood out were his work ethics, positive outlook, ability to think out of the box.

Angel is a quick learner, dedicated employee and teacher that cares and develops staff in a respectful thoughtful manner. Angel is a dependable, loyal, hard working individual. He would be an asset to anyone he works for. Angel is a true leader in every respect.

To get the maximum out of Angel you give him an opportunity and / or problem and you let him run with it, you don’t give him a to do list and limit his drive and / or creative thinking.

If I were in the market place looking for a multi talented / versatile individual Angel would be on my short list.

I have worked with Angel in various capacities over the last 16 years. He is an energetic leader that thinks outside the box. His ability to motivate the staff and get the staff to think differently, helped drive the process to new levels. Angel also spent the last 6 years establishing our operations center in Arizona. He paved the way for others like myself, when I was moving functions to this location. As a senior leader in Arizona, he not only kept an eye on my staff but mentored many of them as well.

Angel would make a great addition to any leadership team. He would bring a high level of engagement to not only the staff but his peers as well. He will be able to provide a candid viewpoint to a management team and build a world class group that works as a cohesive unit.
